Unknown Player's Mate in Eight
Not really relevant to the puzzle but was the last move Nf2 also a capture? If not then it's impossible for white because the position you show has white in check(both before and after Nf2), but white cannot move to put itself in check. Either Nf2 was also a capture or white just did an illegal move

What does this mathematical operator do?
@PattuX Sorry just one more question. You said you could code this into a function but it's better to understand it as a series of steps. If you do put this as a function, then would it be conditional? (Aka one definition for x>0 and another for x<=0) In other words, if you are to code this with a programming language, will it use the IF statement? If so, how many ramifications? (Just 2, if...else..., or 3, if...else if...else... or even 4/more, if...else if...else if...else?)

What does this mathematical operator do?
@PattuX Two questions. 1. Do leading zeros matter? Aka is 3#5 = 03#0005 (all base 10)? 2. Can you give 1#234, 12#34, and 123#4? Thanks!

DEKADOKU, the new challenge
I know the deka in dekadoku probably is the root deca- meaning 10, since there're now 10 rows and 10 columns. But as a funny coincidence DEKA(デカ) also means large, huge in Japanese, where the word sudoku originally comes from. So the name works in the game's original language too!

Playing with their food
I'm a little confused, how can Kb4 capture Ra3 when there is a rook on a5? This is a final position I restored according to your moves but I might have done something wrong since rook on a5 protects rook on a3... lichess.org/editor/5bb1/6pp/3p4/rp6/1Kp5/2r1p3/1PPb4/…

What is the pattern in the sequence? -1, 3/2, -13/6, 25/8
@AxiomaticSystem Well, that's the answer. I was so stuck on this puzzle until I saw your comment. Maybe you should post it as an answer.

Unpaired socks in my lap
This is strange, because both my answer and @RobPratt 's answer gives around 5.675 socks for 10 pairs, but yours say 4.675 socks. I wonder where is the mistake (in your or in my answer)

COMMENCE = 18251624, PRESERVE = 18323620, UNLAWFUL = what?
What do you mean "do not seem to relate to the number in some fancy way"? Do they relate at all? Also, is this a one-to-one encryption? Meaning does COMMENCE correspond to 18251624 and no other numbers, and 18251624 can only be decrypted into COMMENCE and no other words?

It's strange that
C:
D:
is Windows notation for disk volumes yet /
(unix) is used instead of `\`(windows) to mark paths. I doubt the path would be valid on any real-life operating system

Yes, but... where am I?
This puzzle is mobile friendly… it’s not about the EXIF data, is it? I.e. the location and time info associated with an image when you take a picture

A little number riddle
@ConnieMnemonic The lateral-thinking tag kinda give it off as a non-math problem, and I thought if it's not math it had to be English or some word play. Anyways, you're welcome ;)
