A puzzle that incorporates a visual component like pictures, diagrams, drawings, etc. Do not use this tag for puzzles that discuss geometric objects without displaying them.
Visual puzzles consist primarily of diagrams and pictures. Visual puzzles can be :
- Encoded messages
- Jigsaw puzzles
- Rebus where images must be interpreted as words, syllables, or letters to spell out a well-known phrase or quotation
- Mazes
- Based on diagrammatic components.
If you find that your puzzle revolves predominantly around some visual graphic or component that is central to the puzzle, then this tag is likely one you should use. Do not use this tag for puzzles that discuss geometric or other hypothetical objects without displaying them.
As a rule of thumb: If the question involves a visual (the solver has to look at an image or graphic of some sort), this tag is probably appropriate. If the answer requires a visual representation, but the question does not, then don't use this tag.
