What is the correct way to split a rope into two parts?

A) Cut it using a blade or any sharp object.
B) Pull on end of the rope until it breaks.

*Note, only one of the ways mentioned above 'can' break the rope into 2 and only 2 parts, it might or might not be successful in an attempt, but the possibility exists.

$\begingroup$ Hi, Roshan! is this a puzzle you created yourself? If not, could you edit the source into the question? Also, it appears to be very ill-defined - "correct" here seems to be a matter of opinion. $\endgroup$ – bobble Nov 19 '20 at 19:37

My answer is

A Cut it using a blade or any sharp object.

because pulling the end of the rope will not break it – it just moves towards you.

The answer is

A and B.

Explanation:

Not sure about the "only one of the ways mentioned above 'can' break the rope into 2 and only 2 parts" logic, but yeah, it's A and B. Surely you agree.
