Mar 23, 2015 at 17:31 | comment | added | The Man | Why wouldn't a shadow be located in a bar? There should be light sources to the point of vision, and any amount of light will create a shadow (unless it is lit up from all sides/walls/areas, but that seems like a very poor design for a bar).
Mar 5, 2015 at 9:57 | comment | added | Rand al'Thor | @JoelReyesNoche My example was correct but for the wrong reason, so he shouldn't have accepted my earlier answer. Saying "You may have to edit" did suggest I was close.
Mar 5, 2015 at 9:38 | comment | added | Donbhupi | @kaine , in his comment here, did get it exactly how it was intended to be.

Mar 5, 2015 at 1:41 | comment | added | JRN | If so, then Donbhupi would have accepted your earlier example (a black Mercedes) because it shouldn't be in a bar.
Mar 4, 2015 at 22:04 | comment | added | Rand al'Thor | @Donbhupi I've edited my answer, following kaine's suggestion (a small variation on the second of my original tries).

Mar 4, 2015 at 16:25 | comment | added | kaine | @Donbhupi Are impling that it could be the question after asking whether it is something he couldn't rationally have pointed to. The night sky is not in the bar; his shadow wasn't in the bar at the time; there shouldn't be a live crow in the bar; there probably shouldn't be a bed in the bar either. This (in essence) is the same as this answer which implies that there is a pre-selected pattern of hints hidden in the choice of questions.

Mar 4, 2015 at 14:03 | comment | added | Spikatrix | "Is it a black Mercedes?" is obviously No as "a" refers to something that is not around.
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:51 | comment | added | Donbhupi | You may have to edit your solution. Consider this: Alex leaves the room again, and Jasper points at a wineglass. When Alex returns, Boris asks, “Is it that knife?” Alex says, “No.” Boris asks, “Is it that bottle?” Alex says, “No.” Boris asks, "Is it that chair?" Alex says, "No." Boris asks, “Is it the bed?” Alex says, “No.” Boris asks, “Is it that wineglass?” Alex says “Yes.”
