Dec 21, 2016 at 19:01 comment added Arth The page number translates well using your alphametic results, but I struggled to apply the translation... Roman being italicized in the header also appears intriguing.
Dec 21, 2016 at 18:56 comment added Arth The Mersenne number definition (2^n - 1) is slightly different to the Mersenne Prime definition, which gives you a few more to play with (1, 3, 7, 15, 31, 63, 127, 255, 511). I was trying to use the letters to make a word out of the possible combinations, but to no avail :(

Dec 21, 2016 at 16:13 comment added Sconibulus @SID I couldn't make any of them unique alone, so I assumed that all three equations had to be solved simultaneously
Dec 21, 2016 at 16:12 comment added Sid Can't "E" in the 2nd one be 3?
