May 4, 2016 at 17:58 comment added Tin Wizard There are some words that don't have a singular form (or said form is never used.) 'Pants' is another good example. Trappings is definitely plural, and in fact has a singular form, according to m-w: merriam-webster.com/dictionary/trapping
