Feb 3, 2017 at 16:30 comment added Engineer Toast @DeepDeadpool That's a fair question but OP says they're hanging so I took it at face value. Perhaps repeat your question on the original question.
Feb 3, 2017 at 16:26 comment added Raven If there were no support beams along the ceiling of the barn, how did the rope hang?
Jun 13, 2016 at 10:17 comment added Oreo He stands on top his horse and rests his lasso on a wooden support beam. He decides to test the strength of the lasso by tying it to the beam and pulling down on it. He reckons that it is so strong that it could withstand his whole body weight so he puts his neck in and leans back. The horse gets bored, pisses on the ground, and walks off.
May 20, 2015 at 20:04 comment added Engineer Toast @blakeoft If it makes you feel better, the more reasonable option is to get a block of ice taller than is required and jump off the edge. The ideal situation is to break your neck but, barring that, at least you'll suffocate quickly.
May 20, 2015 at 19:34 comment added blakeoft I bet it isn't very fun to die by hanging yourself. But I bet it's especially awful to have your feet cold while you wait a very long time for a block of ice to melt so that you can slowly suffocate.

May 20, 2015 at 3:46 comment added Paul Draper The man dug a pit, tied the noose outside it, and jumped into the pit.
May 20, 2015 at 3:42 comment added Paul Draper Ropes with natural fibers can shrink 5-10% when wet. He tied the rope around his neck, and leaky roof cause the once 10ft rope to become 9ft.
May 20, 2015 at 3:37 comment added Paul Draper The man was too weak to jump into the noose himself, but he put Flubber on the floor (or his shoes) and jumped on that.
May 20, 2015 at 3:34 comment added Paul Draper He climbed the ladder around the corner of the barn (where it was later found) to the roof, then jumped through the hole in the roof.

Fixed the magnet one?
May 19, 2015 at 20:42 comment added brhans For #4 - its superconducting shoes he'd need to be wearing. Chain mail would only ever be attracted to the electromagnet.
